Experience:
Mr. Duran began his legal career in Complex Civil Litigation as co-counsel to a seasoned litigator in matters dealing with Joint Venture Dissolutions, Complex Contract Disputes and Civil Fraud. The cases exposed Mr. Duran to sophisticated litigation strategies employed by well known and established litigation firms such as Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher; Aschuler, Grossman, Stein & Kahan; and Rutan & Tucker; as well as local attorneys with significant experience in complex litigation matters. The experiences trained Mr. Duran in helping his clients meet the objectives of the client’s financial interests while negotiating through litigation tactics where the client’s were often out-resourced.

In 2002 Mr. Duran began his own litigation practice, expanding to include Family Law involving issues of divorce, child custody, support and division of assets and liabilities. Since then, Mr. Duran has managed both civil litigation and family law matters, primarily in Orange County, California.

Mr. Duran has had significant success in trial and mediation, with his clients valuing his tenacity and focussed approach to litigation, while competent and compassionate of a client’s particular situation.

Professional Organizations:
Emphasis on community involvement has always been a part of Mr. Duran’s practice. Mr. Duran has made pro bono work a worthwhile adjunct to his business by serving on cases for local charities, as well as being a member of local outreach programs that serve the community of lawyers in need of help, including Utah Lawyers Helping Lawyers, Salt Lake City, and the Public Law Center, Orange County, as well as taking on his own pro bono cases.
